Two young lesbians from Boston fell in love, started a life together, and dreamt of having a family

1998

They began down that crazy road to becoming gay parents

They began to look at options and found a huge void

No presence of gay families and even worse, no presents!

Where were the lesbian baby shower gifts, adoption presents, queer parenting primers, gay parent advice columns?  EEK!

1999

Family Evolutions (once Mystic Women) was born out of that void

The intention: funny and G-rated gifts to build and empower a community and presence for all GLBT and progressive families - a place to belong

2000

They adopted their son Zion Sun

2003

Jessie gave birth to their daughter Torin Sage

2006

Evolved Moms blog was created

2008

The first Family Evolutions retail location opened in Provincetown
